01 / 07Pivot, single or double. An unequal double pairs a wide leaf with a narrow side leaf that usually stays fixed. A pivot door turns on a hinge set into the floor and the head of the frame.
Carved aluminium is the face we make most. We also face doors in sintered stone, glass, wood or copper, at the thickness you choose.
Aluminium profiles join the layers into one leaf. Behind your front panel sit two galvanised steel sheets with an aluminium honeycomb core between them. The inner panel is made to order too.

Our 5D prints come in 248 wood and stone patterns. Eight of them, from our sample cards:
Pivot doors up to 4,000 × 8,000 mm, double doors up to 3,000 × 6,000 mm. The figure beside the door is 1.8 m tall.
FritsJurgens pivot hinges and KFV locks on our Lattice and Grain Band doors. Smart locks from KFV, G-U and Wintech are options on any door.

A photo of the opening, a sketch, an architect's drawing or a reference image. We reply with a first design direction at no charge.
Opening size, opening direction, finish, glass, lock and handle. You approve the drawings before anything is made.
Production takes 35–45 days once the drawings are approved and the 50% deposit arrives.
We send photos and video of your finished door. Visit the factory, or book a live video walk through the workshop.

Most of our faces are carved. Some are cast.
01 / 05Every carved face starts as a flat aluminium plate, clamped to the bed of a CNC carving machine. The design is a 3D file that gives each point of the door its own depth.

01 / 05Aluminium melts at 660 °C. For casting it is held at around 700 °C, hot enough to run into every groove of the mould. At that heat it barely glows: liquid aluminium looks like dull silver, not like molten iron.

A large cutter goes over the plate first, row by row, and takes away most of the metal in steps. It is too wide to reach into the fine grooves.
The ladle tips and the metal runs down a sprue into the mould. The floor of the mould carries the relief in reverse, so every groove there becomes a ridge on the panel.
A small round-nosed cutter then follows the file in close, overlapping lines and leaves the finished relief, down to the narrowest groove.
The metal sets from the edges inward within minutes. It shrinks by about 1.3% as it cools, so moulds are cut that much oversize.
The cutter leaves faint lines across the face. They are sanded out by hand, and the edges are trimmed.
The panel lifts out relief side down, and the mould is ready for the next pour. The sprue and any overflow are cut away.
The face is then painted, or given one of our wood or stone finishes, and fixed to a door. This one became Contour.
The face is trimmed and sanded, then sprayed with fluorocarbon paint. Then it is ready to be fixed to a door.
